AU, Pin are storm chasers who love the high of being in life or death situations. Any rating is fine! If you want it to be completely gen that would be cool or if you want them to "get off" from the high of the chase that would be more than welcome as well. :)

Hi anon! Sorry it took so long. It's also, probably not what you asked for, completely. My Pin muses always run away from me. Uhm. The NSSL, NEXRAD and TOTO are real things. And it takes place in Oklahoma, because I am very uncreative.

-

It was the thrill that excited them, most likely. Jin had decided that from the first time they’d almost been caught by a storm. Under a rickety bridge, in the mud, they’d both jacked off. The wind around them was rough and loud as the black funnel tore the fields surrounding them, up.

Tomohisa wasn’t too happy about losing his shiny black Ford Ranger, of course. He’d bought the truck himself, but when Jin promised to tell the NSSL about TOTO himself, he couldn’t find it in him to be mad at Jin for driving directly into the twister, again.

Jin, of course, had a plan for everything, and the way to make the director of the National Severe Storms Laboratory to forgive them and issued TOTOv2, with strict orders to be more careful; this was the last time they were getting a chance. Tomohisa also got reimbursed on his truck, which, of course, was Jin’s doing. (You should have seen it. It was huge! We did good just to get out of there alive. You don’t want to lose us.) Tomohisa had a feeling the director was tired of their knuckleheaded antics; but couldn’t get it in himself to fire them. They were, after all, two of the best at chasing tornados.

“Why did they name this stupid thing after a dog? And why does it weigh so much? This thing will never fly.” Jin asked as they strapped it into the back of Tomohisa’s truck.

“Why don’t you go ask Bedard and Ramzy? I’m sure they have the answer.” He deadpanned as he made sure everything was strapped in. “It wasn’t my idea to ruin the first one, and after all, we are the best storm chasers here!” he mocked Jin, “It’s a test. If we have to, you can stand on the back of the truck and throw the sensors into the wind.”

Jin was, stupid enough to do that, of course. Through the plains of Oklahoma, Tomohisa driving well over ninety to catch up with an EF2, Jin held tight where the mooring cables connected to TOTOv2 tossing the specialized sensors into the wind; hoping for them to catch all while he shouted orders to Tomohisa through the back window.

They did, of course, because the metal casing on the sensors was much lighter than the steel drum they were held in.

When the truck stopped, Jin fell out into the grassy field and laughed, the sound echoing around him clearly. Tomohisa pushed the passenger side door of the truck open as he climbed over the stick shift.

“What happened?” he asked, falling onto his knees beside Jin.

Jin grinned up at him, hair wind blown and cheeks tinged pink, chest heaving from adrenaline, “We did it, Pi.” He said; voice slightly hoarse from yelling. “The stupid dog worked.”

It took a second for Tomohisa to get the words, but when he did, he grinned, “We did it!” he shouted into the field, his voice echoing along with Jin’s laughter. He didn’t even complain when Jin tugged him down for a kiss.

Though the NSSL didn’t agree with their unorthodox way of getting readings with TOTO’s technology, they still received praise for this. Which, in Tomohisa’s opinion was a bad idea, as now, Jin was even more egotistical than he was before TOTO worked.

Jin sulked two days later, of course, when the director announced that all chasers were to go back to the original way of tracking storms, since TOTO was too dangerous for the sane ones to partake in. It wasn’t like anyone was jumping to throw sensors into the wind from the back of a truck bed, though. Only Jin.

After a few arguments, Tomohisa takes the keys from Jin, because the director has already said he’s not reimbursing the truck again(he looks pointedly at Jin). Jin grudgingly took the laptop and turned it on, connecting to the GPS and NEXRAD.

“Is it showing the direction?”

Jin looked over at the younger, “North, north west.” He said, “Seventy-five miles.”

A whine escaped Tomohisa’s lips before he could stop it, “An EF1?” he asked looking at Jin with a ‘are you kidding me?’ look, “Really? That’s what they gave us?”

Jin shrugged, turning back to the computer, “Just drive. The sooner this is over with, the happier they are.”

-

The EF1 turned out to be no more than a funnel cloud that had touched down and uprooted a few trees; knocked a roof or two off of a farmhouse and ruined a crop of wheat. All in all, it was something normal, so neither of them questioned when the cloud suddenly shot back up into the sky.

Jin stretched out in the back of the truck, yawning loudly as he stared up at dark skies. They weren’t too dark, but they weren’t too light either, they were unsettling, really. “Something doesn’t seem right.” He said, loud enough for Tomohisa to hear him from inside the truck.

Looking away from the screen of the laptop, Tomohisa looked out the back window, “What? Those tacos we had at lunch?”

Jin shook his head, sitting up, “No. Something about the sky.” He said. “It’s too quiet.”

“Well, Jin. It’s a sky of course its quiet.”

“No, I mean, after twisters, usually there’s either sun or rain, right?”

“Or clouds.” Tomohisa deadpanned. “There’s clouds.”

“Not green clouds.” Jin shot back.

A few moments of silence, “Where?”

Jumping from the bed of the truck, Jin went around to the passenger side and tugged the door open, grabbing Tomohisa’s hand, “Come here.” He said, pulling him from the truck. “There.” He pointed down a dirt road, the clouds in the sky having a green tint to them.

“How long have they been like that?”

Jin pursed his lips, “Since the tornado disappeared.” He said, “You don’t think it’s down there now, do you?”

Tomohisa shrugged, “Maybe, maybe not.”

A loud beeping from inside the cab caught their attention, as the wind started picking up. The once peaceful skies, getting darker as the clouds moved in.

Grabbing Tomohisa’s wrist, Jin ran back towards the truck and jerked the passenger side door open, climbing in and over the stick shift. Sitting in the seat, he pulled his seatbelt on and started the Ranger, ignoring Tomohisa’s protests, he stepped on the gas; swerving back onto the road.

Tomohisa glared at him from the passenger seat, “What in the fuck are you doing?” he asked, “Driving my truck?”

“Relax, alright?” Jin said as the rain started falling, eyes squinting as the drops pooled on the windshield. “What readings do we have?” he asked turning the windshield wipers and headlights on.

“We’re driving straight into it.” He said, eyes shooting between the computer screen and the road, “The winds are picking up, and it’s already an EF3.”

Jin swore, his foot pressing the gas petal harder as he peeled off of the main highway and onto a dirt road, “How far are we from the action?” he asked, not taking his eyes off the road as the four-wheel drive kicked.

“Three miles.” Tomohisa supplied, holding tightly to the laptop as they bumped along. “We need to get as close as possible.” He said, “None of this five hundred feet, bullshit, either.”

A grin split across Jin’s face as he spotted the funnel cloud ahead of them; “I see it.” He said, his voice taking on an excited lilt. “The director’s going to have our asses if we screw the equipment up.” He said, “You know that, right?”

Tomohisa shrugged, “I could care less. This is what we live for, remember?” he looked over at Jin. “The excitement; and being more than five hundred feet from a twister isn’t exciting at all.”

Jin looked over at Tomohisa briefly, the challenge in his eyes making them darker, “Then you better hold on tight,” he said, “Because it’s going to get bumpier.”

And it did get bumpier, Jin turned off the road, in favor of mowing down stalks of corn, to shorten the three miles between their truck and the large tornado.

“It’s picked up speed; an EF4 now.” Tomohisa said, his excitement showing openly now that the large swirling vortex of wind was getting closer to them.

Jin laughed loudly, his grip tightening on the steering wheel, “Don’t get too excited now, we’re working, remember?” he teased, eyes following the path of the tornado as it ripped through the abandoned farm buildings.

Tomohisa looked over at Jin, his eyes falling to the older’s lap, “You’re the one excited.” He said, his eyes lighting up with laughter, “Maybe you need to calm down, instead of telling me to.”

About one hundred and fifty feet from the twister, Jin stopped the truck; his breathing sped up, as if he had been running, “Close enough for you?” he asked, looking over at Tomohisa.

Tomohisa nodded, distractedly typing something into the laptop. He grunted slightly as Jin leaned against him, watching the screen intently. “You almost done?” he asked against Tomohisa’s ear, making the younger shiver.

“Yeah.” He said, trying to make his voice sound unaffected. “I’ve just got to send this to HQ and we’ll be all done for the day.”

Jin made a soft sound against Tomhisa’s shoulder, his head turning, eyes suddenly going wide. “Pi.” He said, voice going breathless.

Tomohisa hummed, “Hold on Jin. I’ll be done in a minute.”

“No, Pi. Now. Look now” he stressed the word, his voice a mere whisper, wonder coloring his tone.

Tomohisa rolled his eyes and finally closed the laptop, “What are you-oh shit…” he trailed off, “Jin…we need to get out of here, now.”

Jin wasn’t listening though; he’d gotten out of the truck and was standing there; watching as the dark twister moved closer and closer to them. Mesmerized.

“Shit, Jin.” Tomohisa fumbled with his seatbelt, jerking it from around him, before climbing out of the truck. He looked over to the left; eyes widening when he saw exactly how close the tornado was to them. “Jin, you idiot!” he yelled, tackling the older over the side of an embankment as the tornado sucked up the truck, before tossing it hundreds of yards away from them. He wiped the mud from his face, glaring at Jin, kneeling over him, “Don’t stand there like that,” he started as he finally lifted himself up off of the older, “You could have gotten killed, stupid, you-” He stopped and frowned, “Jin, are you listening to me?”

“Wow…” Jin whispered; a dazed expression on his face. “Did you see the size of that?”

Tomohisa sighed, smacking Jin over the head, “Idiot. You could have gotten us killed.” He leaned heavily against the older man, “You owe me a truck, too. And an explanation to the NSSL, as to why their equipment was damaged.”

“Pi…” came the older’s whine, a whine that Tomohisa knew all too well. “We just survived a life or death situation; can you shut up about that stupid truck and kiss me, already?”

Tomohisa sighed dramatically, “I guess.” He said, leaning down to kiss Jin; nearly melting against the older when he felt Jin’s hand slid over the zipper in his pants.

“Do you want to?” he mumbled against Tomohisa’s lips, moaning when he felt the younger’s knee brush his already straining erection.

Pushing against Jin’s hand, he bit the older’s lower lip, tugging, “Is that enough of an answer for you?” He swallowed Jin’s cry of pleasure as the older shifted against his knee; hips moving rhythmically as he rubbed the growing bulge in Tomohisa’s jeans.

“We’re going to end up coming in our pants.” He panted, throwing his head back with a gasp as Tomohisa’s fingers slid across his collarbone; squirming under the younger man as he felt him shift on top of him.

“Shut up, Jin.” Tomohisa growled, his hand slipping between their bodies to undo Jin’s jeans. “And stop wearing a damn belt if you want to do this.” He mumbled, his fingers tugging at the white leather belt, the older seemed to be fond of.

Taking the hint, Jin quickly undid the belt, before tugging open his jeans, “There.” He said with exasperation in his voice. “I didn’t know you had such a problem with-oh shit!” he cried out, arching up against Tomohisa’s hand as the younger slid his hand into his jeans; fingers closing around his erection.

“What was that?” Tomohisa asked cheekily, grinning at the older. “Were you making fun of me?” he asked, slowly stroking Jin.

“F-fuck you.” He said, his voice slightly high pitched as Tomohisa twisted his wrist with each upward stroke.

A laugh tore from Tomohisa’s lips that tapered off into a moan and Jin fought open his jeans and slid his hand inside; stroking him at the same pace.

Jin came first; Jin always came first. He was the one who got most excited by the thrill, anyway. He arched against Tomohisa, sucking in a breath through his parted lips. A cry of his name left Jin’s lips, before he tensed completely and fell back into the mud, his orgasm taking all of his strength from him.

The way Jin’s grip tightened almost painfully around him; made Tomohisa come. He was quieter, gasping loudly against Jin’s hair, before slumping against him, sated.

After a few moments, Tomohisa sat up, “You still owe me a new truck.”

OMG THANK YOU SOOO MUCH ANON ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

To be honest I never expected anyone to write this but you did and I LOVE it! The idea popped into my head one day after watching Twister and for some reason I thought of Pin as the bickering couple who loved the thrill of it all.

The way you portrayed Pin was exactly like I saw it in my head. Jin stupidly having no fear and pushing the limits and Pi the more logical one but still willing to jump out on a limb and do crazy things with Jin!

I don't even know what else to say about this but that it was awesome and hot and I love it so so much! Thank you again Anon!!!

I'm very honored that you like it ♥ 8D

Ha! I thought of Twister also when I was writing it; in fact, that's where the title came from. XD Long Way Down is from the soundtrack of Twister. XD

I'm glad the way I portrayed them fit! 8D I'm really glad you enjoyed it, really. ♥
