Okay, so this was written out over something like three comments for ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
javiera , because she ASKED me to spam her with Gazette videos XD And spam did she get. SO I figured rather than take up masses of comment-space with it, I'd just post it here. Also because someone asked me to do this for them before and it took me over two hours then, as well. If I post it, I can be lazy and just link to it next time XDD
And this is so deserving of the Aoi-jump icon. ♥
Before the links, a quick band lowdown XD
Ruki - vocals. Very into art, he designs all their logos/tour merch etc etc. Any big, gorgeous posters you see up behind them in the lives, any t-shirts they wear, he designed, and is now designing jewellery for a company, too. He's ALWAYS changing his hair, ALWAYS. He's had more hairstyles than I can count, blonde, red, permed, dredlocks - I wouldn't be surprised if he shaved it off next! He was much cuter before he got skinny, but he got more confident after losing the weight XD Tries to be all hardcore, but I've seen the old videos and photos, he's adorable really XD Likes piggybacks. Oh yeah, and he's a midget XD - although I'm really not one to talk about people being short.
Reita - bass. This guy.. is just.. *__* He wears that noseband ALL the time, it's like his trademark. He's always worn it - there's only a few super old photos of him ANYWHERE without it - one of which is a sneaky screencap someone made when he accidentally turned around in a backstage video and the camera caught his nose for a split second XD It's a very cute nose though, not deformed or anything XD He's LOVELY, he tries to be the badass of the band with his baggy pants and big boots and stuff, but he's a big teddy bear - he seems like the kind of guy who would beat someone to a pulp for hurting a girl XD He's ADORABLE when he smiles, too. And his voice, OMFG HIS VOICE! When they came to London, he had a moment of talking - he tried hard with the English, and his accent was pretty good, but holy fuck I didn't care what he was saying as long as he SPOKE! It's really deep and gravelly, and seriously the hottest thing EVER.

Uruha - lead guitar. Prettiest guy EVER, I swear, even compared to Tego.. but maybe not Ueda XD He wore those suspenders & shorts quite often for a while, but not so much now. Despite being the pretty one, he's had his own fair share of rather nice photoshoots XD Apparently he never really liked showing off his legs, even though they're to DIE FOR *_* So we've heard his swoon-worthy voice, how about some fanservice.. Oh God. I found this by accident, looking for a particular clip, but this is SO much better. It's a fanvid, but they've strung together ALL the best Ruki/Uruha clips.. 0:20, this is from a backstage DVD (that was EPIC, it was like 2-3 hours!). Basically Reita is taking care of the camera. Uruha is giving Ruki a massage, and Reita says 'ah, you're getting a massage?' (I think!) to which Ruki replies, teasing 'Yeah, I'm a star!'.. Then he turns around and goes 'Oh! You're filming?!' (0:25) And looks all embarrassed. So cute! *flails* 0:37 is Kai, who is the cutest thing you've ever seen, I swear XD But I'll flail about him later. 0:39 - they don't hurt him really! But Reita still starts to feel bad and protects him instead XD There's an AMAZING spoof sub of this, which I'll link at the end, where that clip's called 'group bonding - beat on the happy gay'. 0:48 IDEK. Wtf are they doing with their legs XD
OH YEAH and Reita and Uruha have been friends since they were really tiny, I forget how old though. But they grew up together and have always been best friends. How cute ♥
OK enough, this was meant to be QUICK *_* Onto the next member.
Aoi - rhythm guitar. Aoi is the dork of the band, he's always messing around and getting into trouble XD He's gotten rid of the lip piercing now, and the bellybutton piercing, I think *pouts* AND changed his hair, I think he looked better before. But I still love him XD His dorkiness is total win. That last one, where he makes up a song for momiji manjuu (I love when he sings!), is my FAVOURITE Aoi clip EVER. Before I got this account, my lj name was momiji-manjuu in a homage to that clip ♥ And, a bit of an afterthought but no less relevant than anything else.. he has lovely arms *_*
And last, but DEFINITELY not least ♥
Kai - drums. He's the leader, mother, and hopeless case. Also completely adorable. (That's Miyavi climbing all over him, another artist under the same label) Basically, Kai loses everything. In one of the backstage videos, you see a staff member bring back something he'd left in the back of a taxi - it was either a wallet or a phone, I forget. He's a brilliant cook though, loves to cook. (he's saying something about the band being tired, so he wanted to make them something tasty XD) I love Kai, he's so sweet. And more recently, rather sexy too (1:31)

Silly God Disco [NLSG Live] - Arguably my favourite song XD It's so much fun, and I love watching them all dance around (badly) to it! Aoi, the guy on the far left, is so bendy and fluid. Also, better quality PV version - it sounds nicer, and comes with lyrics so you can make out the jumble of rubbish that is Ruki's English XDD
Swallowtail on Death Valley [RCE Live] - this is from the new DVD, which I'm not so keen on, but I rather like this performance, they really get into it, so cute bopping around XD I wish you could hear Aoi when he does backing, he sounds so gorgeous~ AHA here's some backing he sings in something else, someone cut it.. Miseinen [DB live] - and if you like the sound of the song (it's beautiful), Miseinen full [NLSG Live]. And since we're on the subject of backing, here's Sugar Pain [RCE Live], with Reita doing the growling and Kai singing some backing - it's be nice to hear Kai's voice more, he sounds really good.
Akai ~One Piece~ [NLSG Live] - the same song from the end of the Kai-section, but it's from a different tour, and I love it, so it's going in twice.
Chizuru [PV] - This was used in the soundtrack for the Korean film, Apartment - 2006, I think? I don't remember... It's pretty creepy, especially with the clips from the movie interspersed throughout (it's a horror, surprise surprise XD). I really want to see the film... (Don't they all look gorgeous in their suits <3)
Guren [PV] - I love this song (and not just because of 5:02) XD
Taion [DB Live] - This always shakes me to the bone, Ruki's little showman bit at the beginning and then his scream! I swear my heart broke a little the first time I saw this... But the song is just great, especially the slightly broken way he sings it..
Cassis [NLSG Live] - I can't believe I didn't include this one sooner! DEFINITELY another one of my favourites. I love how, the moment Ruki's guitar gets brought out, the crowd always goes wild, because they know what's coming (it looks as big as he is!). It even happened in London, which made me extremely happy ^_^ And, backing vocals! I love it when the others sing.
Ah! Speaking of others singing..
Best Friends [JD Live] - This is pretty old, from 2004. It always makes me so happy when I listen to it, I love hearing every single one of them singing together - even Uruha who barely even SPEAKS on stage <3 Ooh, that reminds me... Uruha singing (Linda Linda, by The Blue Hearts). I'm sorry for any bleeding ears, I can see why Uruha doesn't sing. At least, I think it's Uruha, and so far no-one has mentioned any different. It's definitely him speaking at the beginning, and it doesn't sound like any of the rest of them singing. I'm not sure of the story behind this, but I think I remember someone saying way back that they all switched instruments for a song for their Burst into a Blaze Gazerock Summer Festival, which was a few years ago now. But I've never had that confirmed. (and who on earth is doing backing? it sounds like they're being strangled XD)
Wakaremichi [JD Live] - To make up for the pain I put you through with Linda Linda, another old song that I always think 'ah, that's my favourite'. I adore this video, because the crowd sing along to the song with them, and they all even stop playing to listen to them sing. It's really lovely.
Cockroach [PV] - it had to be the PV for this one, purely for Ruki's outfit. Just so you don't think the quality is awful, the actual song really starts at about 1:20, the beginning is meant to be all fuzzy like that because they're playing in an old bathroom or something. It's very bright and very gaudy, and strangely, at times very sexy - and I love it XD
Just so you can see how much of a softie Ruki really is (as are the rest of them) here's the ending from their NLSG live, English subbed (one of the few jrock things that is!)
And that song at the end is one of the prettiest pieces of music I've ever heard. Misienen, on the piano & violin, the cut version without all the talking for you, if you liked it ^^ It's so much more heartbreaking than the song is, especially with them all in tears <3

It's kinda weird to see backstage stuff of this guys, though. Before JE, I've never pay attention to that part of a band's dynamic. With any luck I watched some interviews here and there, but not really more than that. I was a fan of TOKIO and SMAP and V6 for years and until I found out they were part of JE, I never looked for anything else of them, and what was I missing! Now the Gazeboys act incredibly dorky while being gorgeous like they are and it doesn't compute right with me. I start thinking... was Malice Mizer like this back in the day? I can't picture Mana acting funny XD
I will repeat what I already said to you: Uruha is WAY too pretty. The world is unfair. The rest of them are adorable, and that's not a word that should be use on them, but they are! And is Ruki really that small? Can't be!
Now, the music. Their sound, I have to say, is not something I haven't hear before. Pretty standard for J-rockers. Still, the songs are pretty solid as ending result, and they are very good live! Of course, I'll have to hear more of them to see how good can they be individually with their instrument. Which means... where can I get more??? XD How many albums and singles have they released?
Silly God Disco is my favorite because... how can it not with that awesome name?? And the song starts with a bass solo, I loved it!
Miseinen was amazing too. Love songs with strong basses!
Chizuru was creepy, yo. Very. I'm not into horror movies, but it does look interesting. And I like the whole thing as a PV too, more than the others.
I liked Taion a lot. The balance between the more brutal sound and Ruki's melodic voice is very well achieved! I enjoy a lot this type of songs.
Also, Best Friends is lovely! So upbeat and poppy. And yes, it is nice to see them all sing together ^^
Back to them being dorky. Aw. They look pretty good in "normal" clothes! And, uh, there's something incredibly hilarious for me that I can hear Fantastipo (of all possible songs!) in the background, I don't know why XD (JE is everywhere!!)

HAHAHAHA Mana being dorky, now THAT I would pay to see XD It's always slightly surreal for me to see Yoshiki being dorky, because, come on, it's Yoshiki.
They've released 3 mini-albums, and 4 full-length albums (actually 6 mini albums, but 3 of them they just put together to make up one of the full length ones, so I never count them). Singles, I had to check on wiki, 14 ^^
